This year, Scarlett Johansson missed the Oscars to tour India and Sri Lanka... for the charity Oxfam. "I'ts strange to come home when you see poeple living in poverty, " she says. "My celebrity life is so surreal, but it's my work and it helps me bring awareness to Oxfam.

Natural catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina are common in the USA, and so are tornadoes, volcanoes and earthquakes!

EARTHQUAKE

An earthquake is a sudden explosion under the Earth's crust. It makes the earth shake and move. It can cause tsunamis too.

The San Andreas Fault is a 1,300 - kilometre geological foul that runs through California. That is why people in California are waiting for the "big one", an earth quake of 7.0 more on Richter scale.

Is a dramatic natural phenomena..!! It's terrible!

This is Ryan playing Shinthy a traditional Schottish sport. We have to wear protective equimpment. We wear shin guards, a helmet and a faceguard - even during training sessions!

A TEAM SPORT

Shinty is a team sport played between two teams of 12 playeres. To score, you have to hit a small hard ball through the goals.

A shanty pitch is almost he size of 3 football pitches!

So you run a lot, and you have to be fast if you want to score!

Is a fantastic sport and I would like play it!!!

This giant Darth Vader ballon was created by Belgian Star Wars fan Benoit Lambert.

The ballon is 26 metres tall and 21 metres wide. It's firest voyage was over Bristol, England.

Cody Maverick is a penguin with a dream: he wants to win the Penguin World Surfing Chapionship.

This film is a documentary, with journalists following Cody and his friends: Joe, a surfing chicken, and Lani, a beautiful penguin lifegurad.

Surf's Up has great music and fantastic computer animation of the cold Antarctic and the warm tropics.

I think It's a beautiful film because is animation.

A special thanks to all mothers at Christmas! The avarage mum spends 12 days shopping, four hours wrapping presents, three hours decorating the house and eight hours making Christmas dinner.

The worst part is tidying up - eleven hours!

It's no surprise that one in five mothers hates Christmas!
